Brief History of Concrete

Concrete has been used in construction for over 2000 years. The Romans use of concrete was extensive as they were the first to build roadways. They built some 5,300 miles of roads.

Many American roads are over 100 years old and still provide a route for cars and trucks to travel. Many concrete pavements were poured by horse and buggy.

Today concrete is finding more inventive uses including residential construction and works of art. Office buildings, houses and schools are typical structures made of concrete nowadays.

The durability and longevity of concrete stone in contruction buildings is unsurpassable. Fires and hurricanes have destroyed miles of homes and buildings for centuries except for those made of  stone.

Concrete is truly the safest, most practical and economical way to build.  A building made of concrete is a building made to last through the weathers of time.
